Matt Bunsen is a true original. Many of his tunes are memorable, fun and creative. With a song list that includes “Beer”, “She Wouldn’t Screw Me”, “We All Gotta Get High”, and “I’m Yosemite Sam” you can see why.  Whether playing solo, or with his band Matt Bunsen and the Burners, all the material has to be either fun or funny (including covers by Tom Lehrer and others.)

BIO:
After releasing three CDs with Matt Bunsen and the Burners, Matt has started performing as singer/songwriter in order to present his engaging stories on a more intimate setting. He has also taken a liking to comedy clubs including Flappers Comedy Club (Burbank, CA) where he was a finalist in their annual “Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Challenge”.

Matt Bunsen’s compositions have been used on MTV Real World, MTV Road Rules, Discovery Channel (The Dolphin Dilemma) , NPR, One Life to Live, and many others. Matt played bass in Boston’s most popular surf/spy rock band: Seks Bomba. His recording credits include Catie Curtis and Gary Cherone (Van Halen, Extreme) with Boston Rock Opera.  He has opened for Chris Isaak, Leon Russell,  Albert Lee, Ramblin Jack Elliott, Patti Smith to name a few…

Last but not least, Matt Bunsen has a license to burn. But he uses the cannabis wisely, making sure that it never interferes with his creative endeavors and getting things done. “It seems to help the creative process. Once when I was in a rut, I tried drinking my way out. Yikes – that didn’t go well. I prefer weed.”
