March Microdose Tour – March 2022.

Date: March 25, 2022
Venue: Tarzana Music Nights
Location: Tarzana Community Center
Setting: Solo acoustic
Dose: 1.000 grams
Songs: Fun, So Far Away

Not knowing in advance what type of setting the Tarzana Community Center would provide, I decided to play it safe – who wants to worry about tripping too hard, right?  The goal is just a little bit of a righteous glow to shine for the people.  Don’t be greedy!  As it turns out The Tarzana Cultural Center has a really wonderful vibe, and the host/promoter – Claire Bloom – is totally cool.  Charming outdoor venue with a good size crowd.

So, this is what went down:
My dose for the evening weighed in at EXACTLY 1.000 grams.  I didn’t grind it up – this is what a medium cap and stem came to (just luck – not science lol).  Knowing my set time was around 9:15, I munched down the precisely measured quantity at 7:30.  That turned out to be just about right.  I was feeling pretty good when I hit the stage, although I should mention that two glasses of wine didn’t hurt.  No weed btw – that interferes with the data by introducing another variable.

So I would say, based on the video evidence of the nights proceedings, that I performed really well.  I can’t say that one gram made me perform and better, but it definitely was not detrimental.  That’s important information people!  it’s one thing to say ‘man I sure felt great up there tonight,’ but if the video says otherwise then it’s just an illusion.  And of course, that would terrible and we’d have to recalibrate.  The other question – and it’s impossible to answer – is: Did the audience feel it?  Did I connect in way that that I otherwise would not have.  Well, who knows…  People told me they thought I was really good and loved my songs, but so what.  That happens on nights when I fuck up and feel shitty up there lol.  So there ya go.

The last thing I’ll add is that maybe the biggest benefit of this experiment is social and not musical.  I tend to be insecure and introverted whilst among a group of strangers, but having psilocybic happy vibes flowing through me sure seemed to help overcome that!  I did have quite an enjoyable evening meeting some new people and hanging out after the show.  Let’s do it again…
